n.
a generic name of all evil spirits
Wrd.Gloss: spirits
Cult. The eyes of busew do not blink, and they cannot bend their arms and legs. They never stand flat-footed but jump on tip-toes. They don't turn their heads but turn their whole bodies around. Some people have seen these beings. The ones that live in the balitì tree fly. The ones that live in the cemetery jump. A busew takes over the entire body, thus the person's face becomes ugly. If the busew turns its head to the side, then the original person's face is visible again.
