Cult. There are two styles of winnowing tray in common use: the traditional Matigsalug one is a rectangular shape and the turned-up edges are made of the same soft woven material as the bottom. The Cebuano winnowing tray is usually a larger oval shape and has a strong rigid edge all around it. Nihu can be used to refer either to the traditional Matisalug tray, or as a generic term for winnowing trays.
