vi.
for someone (egsalepeng, migsalepeng/insalepeng, agent, eg><ø-) for someone to initiate a new religious movement (egsalepengen, insalepeng/migsalepeng/pigsalepeng, patient, eg><en-)
Cult. This person calls the people together to a meeting and then begins to prophesy (egpahehanè). They feast and then clear a field together. He displays power by causing money to appear (egpamulingen te seleppì) and causing his hands to sweat blood. He gathers the people back and they live and eat communally. Adultery is not uncommon. In the end, promising no more problems, the leader gives the people poison to drink, claiming it is water from God which will cause no more hunger. He then commits suicide. This was done by Manggoyanan in approx. 1986 near Patag. By time all the bodies were discovered, the military were unable to bury them, so they were sprayed with gasoline and incinerated.
