Cult. the source of marriage. Children have not yet been washed (warè pad dep-uhi te Karang) by Karang and so don't look proper yet. As they get older, Karang washes them and they begin to develop into nice people. Karang encourages boys to fall in love with girls. Later when their hair is tied together and they swap betel nut chew, they can marry because Karang has tied them together.
