SUMALCA has two kinds of movies available:

Dubbed historical movies (in conjunction with Campus Crusade for Christ)

Luke movie: The entire gospel of Luke acted out and then dubbed with a Matigsalug sound track. Running time 3.5 hours, but produced in fifteen 15-minute segments.

Acts movie: Set on a ship, Dr. Luke tells his story. Dubbed with a Matigsalug sound track.

The above two movies are best used as Bible study tools. The Luke movie is excellent for helping viewers to understand first-century Israel under Roman occupation. The second can be a little confusing for some audiences because it uses flash-back techniques, and in places a little boring because some of the speeches in Acts are long, but it is also quite powerful as a tool to help Christians better understand the book of Acts.

Locally acted movies (produced in conjunction with Vernacular Media Network (VMN))

The Old has Gone / Ka Tapey Nanlihad e (Dulopan): The story of a young alcoholic with many debts who is shot by hired assassins but ends up as a preacher.

Joseph the Dreamer / Ka Mannaheinep: Based on the true story of Joseph, but set in the Philippines.

I don't know / Wara a nakataha: The story of a highway robber who is shot by police but escapes and eventually turns his life around.

Unknown title: Based on the true story of a young woman training as a lay-pastor who was held hostage by communist rebels and killed in a gun-fight.
