Cult. The katang is an edible fresh-water crab growing to 4 in. by 3 in., dark brownish-green in color. The alimango lives in tidal swamps, up to 10 in., black on back, lighter on its large claws, no spikes. The alimasag is a slightly smaller edible crab.
